“Live at The Little Meander
Six sculptures perform ‘bar’.
Sculptures for meeting, mingling – gregarious sculpture for a social space (O-Town House).
Objects acting as hosts and servers: lean on me, take a load off, kick up your feet, hang up your hat, take off your coat and stay a while.
Bar flies on the prowl, dancing and flirting.
Six characters in search of….”

in our world; cacophony as cacophony is;
a cacophony, the word born of an etymological Greek union between “kak” meaning “bad” and “phōnē" equivalent to “sound”
“bad sound”
INSTANT GRATIFICATION
is experiment;
a humble way to illustrate what I perceive as how the natural universe “records” every element of sound and or vibration: this piece incorporates it’s previous installations to create a specific portion of that dissonance ultimately (though endless) resulting in symphony through cacophony; order via chaos in a way…

Architeuthis Walks on Land
live
Sunday, May 5th, 4 pm
Sawing, sputtering, gurgling and wailing, Architeuthis Walks on Land is every bit the displaced and terrifying cephalopod that the name suggests. Violist Amy Cimini and bassoonist Katherine Young have been performing together as Architeuthis Walks on Land since 2003. Their three albums evidence the duo’s particular ways of crafting their improvised materials into sophisticated structures to capture the compositional, timbral and expressive breadth of this uncommon coupling. Cimini and Young lunge and flutter through their materials with the intuition and energy of constant discovery. Natura Naturans and The Surveyors are available from Carrier Records. The self-titled debut album is available from SET projects.
